ISW Classes Print E-mail

The following classes are offered at ISW on an ongoing basis:

 

1 - Sundays 10AM-12noon MYNA Wichita Youth class

Sundays at 10 am in the ISW's library dawah center room.  This class is a youth discussion group with topics chosen by the youth for the youth. Brother Kareem Jibril is the adult moderator for the youth discussions.  For more information contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 2 - Sundays at noon "Assawafah Tafseer" is a class taught by Sheikh Hilali in which he teaches the meaning of the Qur'an in detail and gives the history behind events that were taking place during the time the verses discussed each week are revealed.  This is an ongoing class.  There is a "social hour" each week after the class in the gym for those who attend.  For more information you can contact Office Manager at 682-5479.

 

3 - Sundays at 4 PM "Fundamentals of Islam" is a class taught by Brother Shaheed Williams and Brother Muhammad Banks in which they cover the following topics - The Qur'an, Conditions of the Declaration of Faith (Shahada), Tawheed (Oneness of Allah) & Shirk (taking parteners with Allah), Pillars of Islam & Emaan (faith, belief), Purfication & Prayer, Prostrations of Forgetfullness, Morals & Manners of a Muslim and Funeral Rites.  This is also an ongoing class and just recently began meeting.

 

4 - Fridays from Magrib to Isha: Various Topics taught by Sh. Hilali

This class will be moving to Saturday evenings. More information will be coming soon.

 

5 - AIS Weekend School The Islamic Weekend School is operated by AIS and provides educational programs that integrate Religion, Quran, and Arabic studies in a structured classroom environment.  For more information please contact Ahmed Alfraih.  688-1313

 

6 - Youth program for Muslim boys to play games, sports, learn about Islam and discuss topics important to them.  Every Saturday from 12pm until 1:45pm (dhur prayer) Br. Michael B.,  Br. Abdullah Tan, Br. Musa, Dr. Asem Farhat and Br. Ahmed Haroual
